History over hype.
Kings Adventure Price Tracker is an independent record of observed retailer prices. It is not affiliated with 4WD Supacentre or Adventure Kings.
What a recorded low means
“Recorded low” always means the lowest price recorded since tracking began. We cannot see prices before the first observation. A first observation is a starting point, never a new record low.
A score grounded in observations
Scores require at least 30 successful observed days over 30 calendar days. The 0–100 score considers position between the observed low and high (45 points), proximity to the low (30), discount from the observed 90-day average (15), today’s latest drop (5), and how rarely the current price was observed (5). A price that never varied receives 50, even at its recorded low.
90–100: Excellent price · 80–89: Very good price · 65–79: Good price · 40–64: Normal price · 0–39: Expensive relative to history.
Daily checks and averages
Each crawler run records a check, including failures. Successful checks reference immutable price-state records. A new state is stored when retail price, explicitly identified RRP, wholesale tier, or stock changes. Daily statistics use the last successful observation on each local calendar day. Averages and median describe observed days only; missing days are excluded, and their gaps are shown on the graph. Intraday price-change events are preserved.
Bundles and price types
A fridge, a fridge with a cover, and a fridge with a cover and adaptor remain separate sellable SKUs. Regular price, a “was” price, separately purchased bundle component totals, shipping, and repayment amounts are not treated as today’s retail price. RRP is displayed only when explicitly identified. Wholesale tier prices are conditional.
Coverage and freshness
Discovery follows allowed sitemap page entries and resolves them to actual products. Unsupported configurable price ranges and failed parses are logged without replacing a valid price. Products missing from repeated complete sitemaps are retained as inactive. An inactive listing is different from out-of-stock availability. Check timestamps show the freshness of each observation.
Looking ahead
Version 1 does not predict future sales. Observations and events are retained so sale intervals, price frequency, seasonal patterns, and cautiously worded estimates can be added once there is enough history.
